Christene Loweth

My name is Christene Loweth, I am English and live in New Zealand. I began my journey into Aromatherapy in 1991 after my 2nd child was born and I was feeling like my brain was seizing up. I began a course at the local college with Dr Vivian Lunny in the UK and I love the information I received and all the experiences I had. I continued my studies in aromatherapy when I emigrated to New Zealand. In 1996 I began my business called House of Oils as I had been asked by a colleague to supply some essential oils. I found a supplier of oils, a supplier of bottles, and thought what do I call myself? …. I went well I live in a HOUSE these are OILS I shall call myself House of Oils. That was it.

I became an entrepreneur once I separated from my husband and it was necessary for me to create a career. As aromatherapy and massage are my passion what better way to begin a business? At present, I am the chairperson for the New Zealand Register of Holistic Aromatherapists, and the position seemed to find me. I work with an amazing team of people.
